No, I'm still pretty big Mr. L, and I admit I still have a long way to go, but I haven't been able to go out walking properly in about two or three months. The weather has been (just about) nice enough to start again this week, so, give me another year of doing what I did last year (coincidentally, starting mid-January) and I should be as skinny as a rake.

Glad you finally have something to sit on Mr Sheds. Bought a big tub of fat balls for the birds. Bargain at £5.99 from QD. £9+ in the pet shop !!! Also got the final Jeffery Deaver book I was after off E-bay. Must stop buying books !  Nah ! ;D |

A new vacuum cleaner. Was merrily vacuuming away when I heard a weird noise and smelled burning. Switched it off and gave it a few minutes to cool down, just on the off chance that It wasn't really dead, but it was in vain. Phoned Mrs L who had popped over to Sainsbury's, and she (very begrudgingly I might say) agreed to look in Comet and Curry's while she was near. The new one she bought filled up in about 5 minutes, which suggests that the old one hadn't been working properly for some time. The new one lifted the flooring in our utility room !!

We had a bit of a windfall thanks to taxes time. So I helped stimulate our economy this passed weekend. I usually save most of my purchases until now. I bought mostly stuff for the kiddie. Bought the High School Musical 3 film. The two soundtracks to the series. And Matlock season one. I can't wait to watch it.. ;D

Morrisons is doing the new U2 CD for £6....As Was on phone to mum as I found out...her first reaction was to tell me to get it as a treat for doing her shopping...Bargain!

Gone L & H book mad again !  Just got "A History of the Hal Roach Studios", and "The Charlie Hall Picture Archive". Must get a life ! ;D Also finally managed to find a reasonably priced portable DAB radio for the bathroom. Been looking for one for ages. Even Mrs L approves.  |

My little one and I are obsessed with Bratz dolls at the moment. Yesterday in a charity shop I found 10 dolls with all the clothes/shoes intact. Usually they are missing. So I spent $20 for $160's worth of dolls. Best bargain so far this year.

Complan, Paracetemol and Sprite for when KK can hold anything down! Apparently flat Sprite is one of the best things for re-hydrating your system when you've been sick.

As for what we've bought, video games for the old PS2. I got myself a used copy of Ratchet: Deadlocked and an old NASCAR game, and Renee bought a VERY cheap used copy of Maximo: Ghosts to Glory and a new copy of The Sims: Castaway. |

Well, haven't heard from him yet today, so I assume he's still sleeping..... but he hadn't managed to keep anything down yesterday. I had to leave him to come back to work.... hope he's ok! As for what we've bought, video games for the old PS2. I still have a soft spot for the PS2... will get one for myself again sometime in the future, when cash-flow allows! LOVE the Sims! Is Castaway any good? Last week I took advantage of the fact that Sims 2 has dropped in price because Sims 3 will be out very soon & finally got myself the basic package for the PC...... there goes any chance of me studying in the evenings!  |
