I've been reading all my Nancy Drew books. I'm thinking of selling them. Nancy Drew has been a part of my life since I was 8. Time to part ways now I think.

Moved on to James Patterson's "Cat and Mouse" for lunchtime reading. I am also re-reading what I consider to be the best book ever written ever by any author ever, don't care what you say (IMHO ;D). Jeffery Deaver's "Praying for Sleep", it is soooooooooooooooooo good, I just had to read it again (4th time, sad b*stard !) The suspense just kills you, it's one of those books you just have to read one more chapter of before you settle down for the night. Still a fantastic read even though I know what's going to happen next. I have all of Deaver's books and I haven't read a bad one yet. But this is the best. Did I mention that ?

Still reading the Batman book. Finally finished it. Not a bad book at all. I'm now starting a novel called The Last Days Of Krypton, about....well...the last days of Krypton.

I was given the Hamster's "As You Do" for Christmas..... only about 20 pages in so far but it's v good. You get some lovely descriptive paragraphs about where he is in the world followed immediately by statements like "I was dying for a p*ss" !!

I've been reading all my Nancy Drew books. I'm thinking of selling them. Nancy Drew has been a part of my life since I was 8. Time to part ways now I think. I disagree. One of my biggest regrets is that I don't have any of the books I grew up with any more. Speaking of things we might have read as a kid, thanks to a slightly obsessive friend, I've amassed a LARGE collection of scans of American comics in the past few months, most going as far back as the 1960s. I'm dipping in and out of them, and while they're hardly Shakespeare, it's absolutely fascinating!

I've still got a load of books from when I was little. I'm not sure I could ever part with them, despite the fact that I'll probably never read them again. I'm also lucky enough to have enough room to keep them just to look at them. Being a bit obsessive about books I very rarely get rid of any (except when Mrs L told me to a few months ago ), but if people didn't sell their books, my library would be one hell of a lot smaller. ;D I'm now reading one of my new (second hand !) Jeffery Deaver books, "More Twisted", a Tom Clancy: "Without Remorse", and I'm trying to decide which audio book to listen to next.

Got three books for my birthday: Simon Barnes' "How to be a bad birdwatcher", and "A bad birdwatcher's companion", and Dawn French's book "Dear Fatty". Plenty to keep me going there !

Started a novel called "The Husband" by Dean Koontz. It's hardly Shakespeare, and it has a very typical b-movie kind of plot, but, surprisingly, it's easy to read.

I love Dean Koontz. Got most of his books, and The Husband is quite a good one. If you enjoy it, try his Odd Thomas books.
