I just finished Confessions of a Shopaholic takes Manhattan. Thank goodness I am not that bad. We seen the movie a few months ago. Slightly different from the books.

Dean Koontz' Darkfall for lunchtime reading, Jeffery Deaver's The Sleeping Doll at home , and am still slogging through the KW diaries which is becoming hard work. Still, only another 20 years to go.

Atlantis by David Gibbins I only just started it, but I am fascinated by the topic. I'll let you know what I think when I finish, or get bored with it whichever comes first.

Odd Hours by Dean Koontz. Fourth in the Odd Thomas series and as excellent as the other three so far. Picked it up as good as new for 50p at the boot sale last week. Bargain !

Currently reading Mistress of Mellyn. So far it looks to be as good as the last Victoria Holt book I read.

Just finished Lost by Michael Robotham. Very good book. The ending was a bit of a letdown considering how long the books was.

Not sure if this counts as 'reading' but I'm currently listening to the audiobook version of A Killing Frost by RD Wingfield.
I've read all the Frost books, and loved them all. Since they're harder to find here, I managed to get the audio version instead and it's fantastic. Easily as good as reading the printed novels, and a perfect end to the Frost series. Sadly Wingfield died recently and the last book was published posthumously, but Wingfield had lost nothing - it's brilliant.
Plus, to take nothing away from David Jason et al, the books are FAR better than the TV series.

I recently read a Frost book from 1980something and it was really good. Apart from describing Mullet as having a beard, it was exactly as the TV series. Very David Jason ! Have got only a few months to read until Kenneth Williams tops himself and I'm sad to say I can't wait. I have been a (sort of) fan for years but I have found his diaries the most difficult read of my life.

I recently read a Frost book from 1980something and it was really good. Apart from describing Mullet as having a beard, it was exactly as the TV series. Very David Jason ! I don't recall Mullett having a beard; I recall Webster (one of Frost's sidekicks) having a beard in the second book, from 1987. I agree (sort of) about the 'very David Jason' comment to a degree. If the TV series was more like the books (ie, funnier) it would have been PERFECT for David Jason. When I read the first one (after the TV show started) I could see David Jason being the Frost from the books, but, for me at least, the TV version is too watered down and the TV Frost is not the same character as the book version. Plus, I'll never find them here, but I'd love to read the Kenneth Williams diaries.

Finished it very late last night. I have Just Williams, which I've read (and enjoyed), and I also recently bought Kenneth Williams Unseen: The Private Notes, Scripts and Photographs by Russel Davies and Wes Butters (ex Radio 1 DJ and big L & H fan. I believe he had his own tent at one time).
Was going to read that next, but I think I need a break from Mr W for a while.
Started reading False Impression by Jeffery Archer.

Just read Clarkson's " I know You've Got Soul", which was amusing and just like an episode of Top Gear.
Half-way through Joan Sims' Auto biography.
