I have been collecting YA books that I enjoyed reading when I was much younger. Its been my goal to have all of the books in the series. Mostly the Nancy Drew,Donna Parker, Trixie Belden and Sweet Valley series. Sometimes I wonder if I am too old to be buying them. But to get back on topic I found a new Donna Parker book and that is what I am reading at the moment.

I have been collecting YA books that I enjoyed reading when I was much younger. Sometimes I wonder if I am too old to be buying them. 'Course not. Question: do you enjoy them, and get something out of them? I'm into my thirties, and I've recently started reading American comic books, which you could argue are for kids (although the ones from the mid 90s I'm currently reading have covered domestic abuse and AIDS). I can read something as heavy and intense as "Dracula" or as thought provoking as "The Road to Wigan Pier" or something as silly as "The Death of Superman" and it doesn't matter, because I get some form of entertainment out of all of them.

Thank you Paul.. I do enjoy them a lot. There is a store we frequent that sells comics and I browse through them but haven't bought one yet. I am not sure which one's I would like. If he sold the Archie comics I would get them.

Reading a Hancock biog at the moment, which is a bit hard going. Also got Clive Cussler's "Treasure of Khan" on the go for at work and Robert A Heinlein's "Grumbles from the Grave" for in the car. This is something else and if I were not such a big fan I would be tearing my hair out as it seems to just be letters between RAH and his agent.

I'm reading "Life in the Aquarium" by Philip Barker. Possibly not the most inspiring book I've ever read, but as it was written by my Grandad and I've been looking for a copy for 25 years, I'm giving it a go. Thank you Mr World-wide Web Net.

I've been trying to get into Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay, which the excellent Showtime TV series is based on. I've seen three out of four seasons of the TV show and loved it, and even though the book follows essentially the same plot and characters, I just can't get into it.
I don't like the way Dexter 'writes' himself in the book, versus the way Michael Hall 'voices' him in the show.
(For those that don't know, the books are first person, and in the show, we hear Dexter's inner monologue as the show progresses)

I was reading 'Factory: The Story of Factory Records' butu now I'm reading 'Shutter Island' as I said I'd like to read a book before it becomes a film instead of the other way round. So far it's pretty damn good!

Listening to an auidobook rather than reading an actual book, but I'm currently into Stephen King's Rose Madder.
As for actual 'reading' - old Superman comics. Yes, I am that sad.

?!?!?!?!
Are YOU the mystery buyer?
We know we've sold a copy - it tells us that much - but it doesn't tell us who bought it.

What Mr. Levity is talking about, folks, is THIS (click), our manuscript, which we've worked so hard to try to get published. Eventually, we went the cheap way. Go on, click the link, you know you want to, earn us a little dosh - and you never know, you might actually like it!
