Yes, it was me . Was going to buy the book as it was quite reasonably priced, but then the postage was double the cost of the book !So I went for the downloadable version which I now have on my PDA. I think it'll take a while to get rich that way, but I wish you luck.

It will take a while to get rich that way, you're right, but that's the cost of getting it out there the way we have. We don't make a whole lot per copy sold, but that's because we set the price. We could have made it $100 per copy retail, thus netting a hefty profit per copy sold, but that ain't gonna work either. So we set a reasonable retail price. Out of that, you pay a reasonable price for your book ('e' or otherwise) - the publisher/printer gets their pound of flesh for actually making it available, and we make a tiny little profit. So everyone gets something for not much outlay.
Despite the cost of shipping, I'm actually pleased it's available to BE shipped to the UK - I thought the distributor was a US-only thing.
I just hope you like the rest as much as the first part. I'm the first to say I'm overly critical of my own work. But, whether this sells or not, it's out there, and with enough words in the right ear people can find it. My writing buzz is stronger than ever, and now I have an outlet I know works to put things out there, who knows - maybe more to come.

Currently reading Will Hay's biography, which is amazing. He was so much more than just a comedy actor !
Also reading Per Anhalter durch die Galaxis, which is the German version of Douglas Adams' Hitchhiker's Guide. My German is extremely rusty, but I know the book inside out, so it's not too difficult. I'm also now being asked to help my eldest with her German homework, which is what gave me the idea to attempt to read it in German. She's studying French too, so I'm on the lookout for the French version next.
Got Dan Brown's Deception Point on in the car for the journey to and from work.

I've been reading Arctic Drift by Clive Cussler. It's about a potential breakthrough discovery to reverse global warming....a series of unexplained deaths in British Columbia....a rash of international incidents between the United States and a longtime ally that threatens to erupt into a shooting war. NUMA Director Dirk Pitt and his children Dirk Jr. and Summer, know there's a connection, but they also know they have very little time to find it.
I've read several of Cussler's books and he's one of my favorites.

I'm thinking of starting "Stolen Innocence," the true story of Mormon girl Elissa Wall and Warren Jeffs.

I've read several of Cussler's books and he's one of my favorites. I think Cussler is a great writer, but after I've read a (yet another) Dirk Pitt novel, I'd be hard pressed to tell you what happened in a specific book a few months later. They are a bit samey, I find. I keep reading them though, great fun!

Having been instructed by by Mrs L to get rid of some books (Philistine, why did I marry her ? Actually, why DID I marry her ? Er, sorry, I digress) we (she) compromised and I promised not to buy any more books until I'd read the ones I've already got.
So, I had to make a list of those unread books in my somewhat large collection. This resulted in a rather surprising figure of 275. I have become a rather good book smuggler as certain titles have turned up here and there that I want want must have (two new Jeffery Deaver's, two new Dean Koontz's a couple or three new L & H related books etc). Suffice it to say that I now have, er....276 unread books.
Got "The Vorpal Blade" by Colin Forbes on the go for at home, and Jack London's "White Fang " which came as a freebie on my new phone for at work. Plus Piers Anthony's Xanth series on audio for the journey to and from work. Four down, 27 to go in the series. I think I've got enough audio books to last until I retire !

Several things - all ebooks. Since I got my iPod I've rarely read a 'real' book. I just love being able to carry an entire library in my pocket.
I most recently finished 11/22/63 by Stephen King, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Since then I've tried Steve Jobs' biography, and just don't like it, mostly because Steve Jobs comes across as a bit of an arse, so I'm giving it a break. I'm partway into Priceless Memories by Bob Barker, US host of The Price Is Right, his autobiography. It's good but mostly says how great he thinks he is.
I've just started 77 Shadow Street by Dean Koontz. It hasn't really got going but it's intriguing so far.

I've just started 77 Shadow Street by Dean Koontz. It hasn't really got going but it's intriguing so far. Now you've gone and done it ! That's a new one on me. I love Dean Koontz. He's one of the exceptions to my "No more buying books until I've read the ones I've got" rule. Off to t'internet to look for that one.

Fair enough Mr. L, but don't be setting Mrs. L on me when she makes you sleep on the couch!

I think I'll hold on that one for a while. It's so new, the cheapest I could find it for was £10.99 on Kindle. I don't love his books that much ! Currently reading "Backwaters" by Matt Swain, (a friend of mine, and his first attempt) on Kindle. Took a while to get going but it's quite good. Really odd reading about local stuff/names/ things I know about him, in a book !
