Had a few lagers...Then had choc urge...Then was uncle dick...You'd think i'd learn! Daft sod. One of the many reasons I rarely drink any more. Of course, I had a few beers the other day -- too many -- and woke up with a hangover.

Shifting furniture, etc. We now have our computer and our Xbox both in the back room with comfy chairs. Plus, I can now connect my TV card to the cable, and get it to work properly.
The other computer (with the DVD drive) is going into the living room, so we can sit on the couch and watch DVDs. I haven't done that yet though, that's tomorrow's project.

The other computer (with the DVD drive) is going into the living room, so we can sit on the couch and watch DVDs. I haven't done that yet though, that's tomorrow's project. Well, that all went up the spout. We decided instead, since we like the 'good' computer where it is, to install a DVD drive in it, to use it in it's current location to watch DVDs. I have 3 spare DVD ROM drives, and after removing the original CDRW, I tried 2 of the DVD ROMs in succession. For some reason, my PC wouldn't talk to either one. I decided not to try the third, reasoning that if I at least put the original CDRW drive back, I haven't buggered the computer, so I did that and thankfully the PC is working as it was before I pulled it apart. So, being stuck with a working DVD only in the 'poor' computer, I've now put that in the back room against a spare wall so we can still get at it with comfy chairs to watch DVDs. We're jokingly calling the back room our 'media room' now. We have two comfy chairs and two office chairs. The 'good' computer is against one wall and we use it for surfing the net, watching basic cable TV, and listening to music. Next to that on another desk is a TV hooked to the XBOX and a VCR for watching movies on VHS or TV taped from the OTHER TV we have in the bedroom, and on the back wall is another desk, this one with the 'poor' computer on it which we use mainly as our DVD player. And I've set at least half of that up today! I'm knackered, plus, Renee doesn't know yet - I hope she likes it!
