As you may have guessed by the name bluebottle i am a big fan of the goons. What I think made the Goons great was that as they where on radio you could make up your own images of not only what the characters look like but also what the situation the characters where in looked like. After all this was the show that gave us Neddy Seagoon, Major Dennis Bloodnock, The Dreaded Batter pudding Hurler, the might Eccles and of course Bluebottle. But no mention of the Goons would be complete without the famous quotes...."What time is it Eccles? and He's fallen in the water!!!........

There was 1 sketch from the Goons but I can't remember the name of the episode. The sketch went something like this.....
Neddy Seagoon, Eccles and some of the others are trekking across the desert when in the distance they spot a house.
Neddy
"Look, Look a house WHERE SAVED!!!!.. quick follow me..."
They then precede to enter the house
Neddy
"Have a look round see if you can find anything...."
(The house disappears)
Neddy
"It's gone....It was Mirage.."
There is then a wailing sound followed by a thud..
Neddy
"Eccles what are you doing on the floor?"
Eccles
"I was upstairs!!!"
