...So I'll probably get in here first with the verdict!
I wonder if they'll have all the regular support characters in it? Emma, Mary & Joseph (like in the bible), Emma (it's a shame for you), Darren (a.k.a. Kirk on Corrie), Twiggy, Roger (my arse!), oh, and little Cheryl!
Obviously, I'll have to wait and see!

Watched it - BRILLIANT!
Best bits for me "Soup of the day... it was Friday".
The 'Orphan Annie' song.
Cheryl empting Nana's bag.
"What's a little stiffy?"
Oh I'm leaving it there... FAR too many to comment on - very well done!
The documentary after - Noel Gallagher - TOP bloke and true admirer... but who was that nob who got the 'paper thin ham' comment in - cr*p considering it was supposed to be his favourite comment.
As to Peter Kay - the usual "hey listen to what I think everyone" type of cr*P - added nothing new.

I enjoyed it too, but I think the last 20 minutes were a little bit depressing. It was all going well up until the Nana saga.
One of the best bits for me though was Jim complimenting Antony on how well he's done, and how proud of him he was, then very soon borrowed fifty quid off him and called Antony 'A greedy little sod' for wanting two biscuits! ;D
Imagine going to the Royle's on a fist date with Cheryl. The looks on Derek's face through that entire scene was class!
As to the documentary, was Mr. Kay trying to take credit for the idea of 'The Royle Family'? He mentioned taping his family's conversation way back in '78/9, and how glad he was that the idea eventually got used on telly!

Wow - the man's a genius... every conversation I ever had was based on his Nan(!) Plus: If you look of "Malapropism" in any dictionary it says: "See Peter Kay" N. P.S. Yep - the bit about the biscuits was top - but did Jim STILL make Anthony a brew though is what I want to know? And the Candle/Wind comment - class!
