These have got to be a few good reasons for going in any pub

oh aye from the refurbished "Mayflower Brewery" apparently and any number of free ales available too.. and before the smart replies start flying in i dont think that refers to the cost not that a tee totaller like me would have any need for such stuff.

Good News! The Royal Oak is now the new official venue for our Wigan meetings! The only thing is, the first meeting will not be until Wednesday 7th March 2007. Also, there will also be a new meeting place in St. Helens - The Rendezvous bar. From now on the meetings will become split every other month between the two pubs. To avoid any confusion, I will post the meeting dates in a separate thread.... CLICK THIS TO GO TO THE THREAD!

It's a nice little pub that Royal Oak.
I've had many a beltin' night in there years ago!
I used to go in the Fox & Goose too, just up Wigan Lane.
