My cell had a unfortunate accident today so it looks like I am buying a new one. I am thinking of going with the flip style like my first one was. This one is a slider and I find it annoying having to slide it up and down.

A Chubby Brown Vinyl LP (The best of so far) they wanted 10p...gave them 20... Your generosity is exceeded only by my beauty ! ;D Bought some euros for my eldest to take on her day trip to France next week. She is in to me for some serious chores now.

A 'Fin' t-shirt! Similar to this, but in red, from the L&H museum KK has one in Black! So it seems we've moved onto the matching clothes stage of a relationship..... ;D

Another (slightly bizzare) pawn shop find: After having our plans changed last night we found ourselves at a loose end with some spare cash. We decided to have a mooch at the pawn shop and found this: Which of course is very cool. It came with a strategy guide too, the game box taped to the book. The odd thing is that the guide it came with was this... Which, I have to admit, I didn't want to read, but it has me dribbling for the game. But I can't help wondering if someone screwed up somewhere!

This isn't something we bought, but still, it fits here, and also into the "Some people are just plain nice," category.
One of Renee's work friends has just been given a new, completely bells'n'whistles iPod for a birthday present. It's got all the fancy doodads, buckets of storage space, etc etc, and, she thinks (rightly so!) that it's a lot better than her 6-month old 2GB iPod Shuffle, which is a very basic iPod.
The upshot? She gave (yes, GAVE) it to Renee, after hearing her mention how a decent MP3 player would be cool since she spends so much time waiting for buses these days, and I spend so much time walking around town.
How nice is that?!?! Plus, it came with its original packaging, manual, leads, dock, etc etc, and looks like new.
The only downside? Most of our digital audio is WMA format, and I'm having to convert it to MP3 so the iPod will understand it. Been going about 3 hours now! Should be done soon, though, I'm into the last 20 songs.

I just have to say that I think the shuffle is very cute and I will get lots of use out of it waiting for my bus. Paul will also probably be able to walk even farther while listening to his favorite music or audio book. Cool huh!
