I seem to have been busy lately, and not had much time for the Planet, unfortunately. Mostly working on my manuscript, which I estimate is about 2/3 done.
I've been indulging my hobby of watching old American game shows ;D, along with spending time with Renee and Kallie, generally just chilling.
After being without a landline since April thanks to the phone company farting us about, we're having a new phone installed on Monday.
Oh, and I also haven't been going out. Glad I've paid the gas bill this month. The weather right now is clear skies and -26C - with a wind chill of -36! I know I tell you that every year, but I still find it downright scary!

I mean this absolutely seriously, but here, in December or January, a temp of -3C would be considered positively mild. It gets so cold, people can literally drive their cars onto the frozen lakes.

Flamin' 'eck. Bet you get through a lot of de-icer

De-icer? Believe it or not, despite it's purpose, it usually freezes on contact with the windscreen. The best way to get rid of ice is simply to scrape like mad - then once you get in the car, try not to breathe too hard so you don't condensate then freeze the inside of the windscreen.
Many's the time we have to sit for twenty minutes with the engine running to let the car warm up and the windows thaw before we drive away. Not to mention cold transmission that doesn't want to go into gear.....
Just one of the many pleasures of living in Winter in Deepest Darkest Minnesota. Yet locals deal with it - they go to work, school, out with friends, out shopping, etc, just like normal.

I see myself for what I am I think you & I have different views on that - you're a lot better person than you think. Have a hug, mate, I think you need it. Feel better soon... (note: edited because my hug had disappeared!)
